Benjamin, have you released your changes to the FriendFeed Python library somewhere? I'd like to build a little FF tool on App Engine (http://friendfeed.com/e/d150f88e-b6f9-6ebe-57ad...) and it would be easier if I wouldn't have to change from sockets to Google's URL Fetch.
