I looked at Civics before getting my Mazda 3. The Civic definitely had the better dashboard but the Mazda was more powerful at felt more sporty. I also liked the seat material a lot better.

I haven't driven the Mazda 3 but you're probably right about the power; the Civic does feel a bit weak.

Many years ago I bought a new Pontiac Grand Prix, which had this nifty "heads-up" speed display. It projected on to the windshield. A pretty nerdy feature, granted, but I liked it and it sounds like this console has the same sort of effect.

you lucky dude. you already tested 2009 civic. I'm planning to post something too about 2009 civic but I haven't tried driving it.
